THE NAME BEHIND ONDA
Hi, I’m Carol Lacerda. I’m from Brazil, where touch, movement, body awareness, and art are part of daily life. I worked as a jeweler and artist for over a decade, then I moved to the U.S. and began to shift my career to the wellness industry.
I became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and Neuromuscular Therapist (NMT) in Florida, where I refined technique, structure, and clinical precision. That’s when my fascination with the human body became a craft, merging my artistic background with clinical training to support artists, makers, and high-pressure professionals in staying functional, focused, and pain-free.
Water has always been part of my life… growing up by the ocean, windsurfing, and staying close to the sea have always made me feel that water is the best healer. But my path to aquatic bodywork truly started inNovember 2024 in Okinawa, Japan. That’s where I experienced water not just as a place to float, but as a medium that reveals what the body doesn’t express on land. That moment changed my direction and opened a new way of working.
Today, Onda is the integration of these two worlds:
On-Land & In-Water therapy.
Below you’ll find the treatments we offer, and at the end of the page, a Frequently Asked Questions section to help clarify any details. If you still have questions or specific concerns, feel free to reach out to Onda anytime.

HOW IT WORKS
Every journey begins on land in either a relaxing or therapeutic session.
Your first session is longer. We talk, assess posture, explore how your body responds to touch, and clarify goals. Depending on what you bring in, this phase may take more than one appointment before we decide if (and when) the water becomes part of your process.
From there, we map a personal plan, weaving the modalities that make sense for your body at this time.
